Newton

By Brendon Smith on August 30, 2005

Apple it looks like is teaming up with Motorola, and Cingular! It looks like they will be unveiling a cell phone i-pod. I really hope they make a cell phone that can do everything a pda can and then some! Does anyone remember the Newton??? I really hope they make something cool to play with. Oh and it looks like Apple will be using IBM processors until at least 2008! I don’t get me wrong I think the Pentium D rocks. I am more curious about the SPUs (Synergistic Processor Units .. you know the Cell processor).

Flight404

By on August 29, 2005

This group consists of action script, java, shockwave gurus. I enjoy how flight404 uses a combination of art, mathematics, and technology. Flight404 uses a blend of media and code to artificially simulate occurrences in nature. Flight404 is an excellent example of generative design. Think of flight404 as an interactive art gallery. They also let you study their code! So Flight404 will be this weeks site of the week.

Down Time

By Brendon Smith on August 28, 2005

Back up and running! I am sure people noticed how slow the site was previously. The site has been moved to different server! This server is much faster than the previous server! I am sorry for the down time although it had to happen. I-Create will function considerably faster! I would like to thank the people @ ipower hosting for working with me to increase the speed of i-create. I-Power hosting is the best hosting service. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants reliable hosting, they also have a plethora of software and services available. Do not use godaddy.com because their servers suck, trust me I know. I have also been working on some new skins for this site. I will enable users the ability to skin their own site. This will give the user more control! So please do sign up and create content. It is now much easier to use and faster. So with that being said create some content! I have also been working on another side project. The project is an on-line dating system. I have bought the name “citylovelink.com”. The main problem I have is godaddy hosting sucks. I will be moving and buying more space on this server and I will eventually set it up on an ipower host. Check out the alpha build of citylovelink. What do you think?? Kind of cheesy?? Please suggest a name…..

What is Hacking & Cracking 101..

By Brendon Smith on August 23, 2005

Attackers: how and why they attack
There is an on-going debate about the definition of the word hacker. A hacker can be anyone with a deep interest in computer-based technology; it does not necessarily mean someone who wants to do harm. The term attacker can be used to describe a malicious hacker. Another term for an attacker is a black hat. Security analysts are often called white hats, and white-hat analysis is the use of hacking for defensive purposes.

Attackers’ motivations vary greatly. Some of the most notorious hackers are high school kids in their basements planted in front of their computers looking for ways to exploit computer systems. Other attackers are disgruntled employees seeking revenge on a company. And still other attacks are motivated by the sheer challenge of penetrating a well-secured system.

Future of the Web.

By on August 23, 2005

The future of the web, what will it be? It will be browser free and use widgets. It will rely heavily on rich internet applications that are fully integrated on the desktop, pda, phone etc,. It will rely on technologies like java, rss, flash, xml, php, coldfusion, etc. The operating system will be linux or some variation it is that simple. You will no longer have to bother with url, you know the long name of a website because that is so passé. Apple OS X Tiger has a dashboard and Yahoo recently bought out Konfabulator check it out! Widgets are the future. I will be creating a widget for i-create soon so get ready to have i-create on your desktop. Also check out gush it is a chat and news aggregator. I highly recommend these little apps! If you have not signed up on i-create do so. Its easy and you will have fun!
